The work

Stories are original journalism and analysis. Headlines from other outlets are used as signal. We do not grant you the right to scrape, republish, or train models on the text without permission. Brief quotation with attribution is fair; wholesale reuse is not.

The night desk is for staff. If you have a login, keep it to yourself. We may close an account that is abused.

Acceptable use

Do not attack the site, flood it, impersonate the desk, or post unlawful material through any form we offer. Automated harvesting beyond a polite crawler that respects robots.txt is not allowed.
