The Atlas is published by Atlasarchy at atlasarchy.com. We collect as little as we can. We do not sell personal information. This policy is written so a reader, and Google AdSense, can see exactly what happens on the site.

What we collect

• Server logs needed to keep the magazine up: IP address, user agent, date, and the page requested. Held briefly for security and then dropped.
• Account data if you sign in to the night desk (name and email from Google or X). The public magazine does not require an account.
• Messages you send to our inboxes. We keep them to answer you.
• API keys an editor stores in the desk — treated as secrets, never shown in full, never used for advertising.

Cookies and advertising

Essential cookies run the signed-in desk and remember a cookie choice. They are not used to advertise.

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.

Children

The magazine is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
